It was a big weekend for the Semmens Family, Noel along with his two sons, Mark and Michael played in the same chukka for the Sale A grade team. It was the first time they had played as a section at a Victorian tournament, and quiet successful as well with the team making the A grade Final against Trafalgar.Also cousin and Neice Liz Semmens played No2. in the first section. The Semmens's with Mark No.1, Noel No2. and Michael No3. lost only 1 chukka of the weekend (middle chukka of the final against- Michael Jolly, Kim Templeton and Kenny Grimmond ).
Mark played Roseridge Box Office, Noel played Roseridge Malibu and Michael played Roseridge Mary Lou, Box Office was playing for only the second time in A Grade and in the final was matched up in the area by his son a Box Office gelding ridden by Kenny Grimmond and owned by Graeme Jolly.
It was also the first time Roseidge Marylou and Roseridge Box Office have played in the same chukka, they are the Dam and Sire of Roseridge Showbox currently standing at stud. Roseridge Box Office still has 70 available semen straws.

Sale started with a loss to Trafalgar but bounced back with a strong win over Corio and then defeated Rosedale in a play-off for the right to play Trafalgar in the A grade final on Sunday. The Sale team was; first section; Phil Jolly, Liz Semmens, Steve Boulton. Second section; Mark Semmens, Noel Semmens, Michael Semmens. The Trafalgar team was Cameron Templeton, Julie Sutton, Andrew Sutton and Michael Jolly, Kim Templeton, Kenny Grimmond.
The final was one of the games of the year with Trafalgar starting fast before Sale headed into halftime with a 4 goal lead, the fourth chukka saw Traf lead by Michael Jolly get back in front by a goal and at the end of the fifth have a four goal break. Sale shot 3 goals to 1 in the last, Trafalgar hanging on by 2 goals. Kenny Grimmond was awarded the best horse and rider.
